So, how do you get there? Well, luckily for us wanderers, Malta's well-connected to the rest of the world. You can catch a direct flight to Malta International Airport from major cities across Europe, including London, Paris, Rome, and Berlin. We were already in Sicily so we decided to take the 1 hour 45 min Ferry from Pozzallo to Valetta using Virtu Ferries, it was stunning coming into port especially at night. Once you arrive, getting around is a breeze thanks to Malta's efficient public transport system. Buses run regularly between major towns and attractions, making it easy to explore the island without breaking the bank. Be sure to download the rideshare app BOLT (Similar to UBER) for quick and easy transport around the island.

Pro tip: Upon arriving in Malta, don't get scammed by the fake taxi drivers, as use licenced taxis or the BOLT app.

Where to Stay:

With so many stunning accommodation options you will be spoilt for choice, there really is something for everyone and every budget. We chose to stay in St Julian's and used this area as our base, but it is so easy to get around, with great public transport, taxi's and the most popular option, Bolt (a similar service to Uber and very economical). Check out some fantastic places to stay here.
